About OINK
Version 1.8.2+77559f-beta · Updated 27 Jul 2026 11:59 NZST
OINK stands for Optimise, Inspire, Natter, Konnect: the playful loop behind training smarter, staying motivated, coordinating with your crew, and keeping everyone connected.
OINK helps runners plan training more easily with AI-supported chat, private planner activities, Strava context, and optional calendar sync, so less planning is split across separate apps.
It also helps runners organise runs and connect with the wider running community: create group run plans, invite run buddies, track RSVPs, and keep the details in one place.
MVP beta
OINK is an MVP in beta. It is being tested and improved while the core workflows for creating runs, inviting people, managing responses, and using the AI and Strava-integrated training planner continue to evolve.
The training planner is AI-enabled and intended to bring useful platform context, including integrations such as Strava, into personal training calendars and run planning.
A common training workflow is split across several places: things like AI chat for ideas, Strava or similar platforms for activity history, and planning tools such as Final Surge for the calendar. OINK is exploring a more integrated experience where runners can plan, adjust, and coordinate training from one site through chat.
Initial MVP release date: 4 June 2026.
Why a pig?
On bush missions around places like the Tararuas, it is not unusual to come across wild pigs moving through dense, rough country. Some have distinctive orange-spotted coats, and they are smart animals that know how to move through difficult terrain.
That is the basis for the OINK iconography: a small nod to those bush animals and the places runners sometimes encounter them.
